[ The feed clicks on and Rose stares into the camera. She seems to be back in her room, knees drawn up against her chest as she leans back against the headboard of her bed. For those who saw her, she looks much improved, not quite healthy, but most definitely not as sickly as she had been. Her skin seems to be returning to it's normal colour, losing the pasty quality it carried when she arrived. The bags under her eyes have lessened and she seems far more together and assured.

The cigarette between her lips probably helps with that, though heaven knows where she acquired those from. Resting her chin on her knees, she breathes the smoke out into the air, watching it curl away for a moment before returning her attention to the camera. ]

Figure I owe a couple people a thank you. You know who you are. So thanks, I guess. [ Never let it be said that Rose Wilson is good with gratitude. ] Question, what the fuck are we supposed to do on this boat? Twiddle our thumbs until the Admiral decides it's time to screw with our shit again?

What's a girl got to do to get a nice, shiny sword around here?

'Scuse me, outside just the styles you're familiar with. But yeah, skills outside of combat can come in pretty handy in a pinch. Like knowing how to drive a tractor? Never thought I'd use that in a fight. dude's face was priceless though.

I'm on this job, right? Real simply snatch and grab, grab the mobster, drop him off to the other mobster. Piece of cake. No one briefs me that the guy's got some meta-muscle backing him. Big guy, probably got like a quarter Superman's strength or some shit. Sent me through a window, really far through a window. By the time I get up their deal's done, so I grab this tractor and roll over their limo. Coulda busted a gut at the look on their faces when they came out to see what all the noise was about.

And when I hit muscle boy with the tractor. [ She smirks. Rose does so love her war stories. ]

I've heard of some pretty creative sabotage but that's a first. Not that I witness a large amount of combat on farmland.

Do you do a lot of work like that? Alongside meta-humans, I mean?

Well you know mobsters and their shady deals. Guess there wasn't a handy waterside warehouse nearby.

Yeah. Not many people are stupid enough to want the job. Didn't really have a whole lot of options laid out in front of me though.

Right. They work so hard to get the perfect out-of-the-way rendezvous point then park their limos right outside. Real tough guys to find.

Long long story. Suffice to say, once my mom died my dad was the only one around. He wasn't exactly a person of upstanding moral characterin the meta community.

I assume that's the polite way to say he was a "bad guy". [The last two words come complete with air quotes.]

Mercenary, assassin, general all around piece of work. "Bad guy" is putting it mildly. Don't get me wrong, do what you gotta do to survive, if that's killing then hell, fine. Nah, I had more of a deal with him drugging me to keep me controlled. Side effects? Psychosis.

Believe it or not, there was a time when I was just a little lost orphan girl trying to fit in with her foster parents. Until dear old dad got nostalgic for family time and came to get me.

Neat little trick. Dad's cocktail made me psychotically eager to please. When I thought I'd failed him? Well, you can imagine how I proved my worth.
